Our History

The original Certificate of Incorporation established Local 166 as a subordinate local branch of the New Jersey State Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, Inc., created for the mutual aid, protection, welfare, and advancement of its members.

From the beginning, the purpose of Local 166 has been to support police officers in good standing, seek legitimate aid and assistance for the improvement of their welfare and working conditions, and cooperate with the State PBA in furthering the interests of law enforcement officers.
